Yield: 4 servings


Ingredients

4 cups water

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (5 to 6 lemons)

1 cup lavender simple syrup (below)

Lemon wedges or wheels for garnish (optional)

Lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)


Simple Lavender Syrup

2 cups water

2 cups organic cane sugar or agave syrup

4 tbsps dried lavender flowers

Natural purple food coloring (optional)


Steps

Bring the water to a boil.

Add sugar and stir until it’s fully dissolved.

Add lavender and reduce heat, simmering for about 15 minutes.

Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Using a sieve or cheesecloth, strain lavender flowers.

For a touch of color, add natural purple food coloring.

Bottle in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

Syrup keeps up to 1 month.

To make lemonade, stir water, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a pitcher.

Serve over ice and enjoy!
